Food, holidays, and a louder voice for the families of the colonias.

We bring free food distributions, Thanksgiving turkeys, and Christmas toys to rural neighborhoods around Agua Dulce, Texas.

Next food distribution: the last Thursday of the month

Every last Thursday of the month, free for registered families. Not registered yet? Reach out before distribution day so we can get you signed up.

What is a colonia?

Colonias are rural neighborhoods, most of them along the Texas–Mexico border and across South Texas, where families live without many of the basics most towns take for granted.

Many of our neighbors in and around Agua Dulce work hard every day and still go without. We started here, and we hope to reach every colonia facing the same struggles.

  • Unsafe drinking waterMany homes don’t have a clean, reliable water supply.
  • Damaged roadsUnpaved, washed-out roads make getting to work, school, and stores harder, especially after rain.
  • Failing septic systemsPoor sewage and septic systems put family health at risk.
  • Far from healthcareClinics and hospitals are a long drive away, and many families don’t have easy transportation.
